Description
As more and more research is done in the field of conservation of contemporary art and related area’s this seems like a good moment in time to start-up a network for researchers on PhD and postdoctoral level. Due to the international, multidisciplinary, and often pioneering character of conservation research many researchers work in relatively isolated circumstances. Researchers are spread out over a manifold of universities, research institutes and departments; often unaware of each others work. There is a strong urge amongst individual researchers to enhance the exchange of ideas and experiences with fellow researchers, hence the idea to set up an international network for early career researchers.
The primary goal of this first network meeting is to investigate the feasibility of creating an international network for PhD and postdoctoral researchers working in the field of contemporary art conservation. The meeting is intended to be community building and wishes to explore what emerging researchers would like to gain from a network. After the discussion, there will be ample time to get to know each other in a more informal setting.

Participants
The meeting is preliminary directed towards PhD and postdoctoral researchers. MA students with a strong interest in starting a PhD research are also welcome. After registration, you will receive an email with more information on the session as well as a request to provide an abstract of your current research projects.
