This workshop (the first of its kind in the Dominican Republic) and will be given by Ruahidy Lombert of HILAB. One of the main goals of this workshop is to stimulate exchange of ideas and to promote collaborative research among conservators, artists, art historians, curators and students. This first workshop will focus in particular on Internet art, performance, installation, conceptual and other variable media art. Also some contemporary artists will provide valuable information on the artist’s technique and intentions, and we will examine some case studies of artworks. The INCCA Database for Artists’ Archives will also be presented.
